FC Barcelona are looking to speed up the summer exit of four first team players, reports from Spain have claimed.

  • Barcelona put four players up for sale
  • Club hopes to generate 250 million
  • Messi still their prime target

What is the news?

Barcelona are looking to revamp their squad this summer as the club is looking to rebuild their financial structure further and making it possible to make new signings for next season. This has led to the club putting players like Ferran Torres, Franck Kessie, Ansu Fati and Raphina in the window. It now seems the club wants to speed up their exits and they are looking at transfers in the early stages of the transfer window.

The backstory

Barcelona will present a Financial Feasibility Plan to the LaLiga organisation and the club is hoping that the Spanish league will accept their plans for next season. It is believed that Barcelona have added a group of players that they are looking to sell in the summer and on that list are the names of Torres, Fati, Kessie and Raphina.

What will happen next?

With the start of summer transfer window coming closer each day, Barcelona are looking to offload the players sooner than later. By selling the players, Barcelona hope to generate around 250 million euros. With that generated amount the Spanish champions are set to re-sign Lionel Messi, who will be out of a contract this summer. Barcelona fear to miss out on Messi if they can’t generate the needed funds for him as the Argentinian also has an immense 400 million euro offer from Saudi Arabia to consider.
