FC Barcelona is considering saying goodbye to Ansu Fati next summer. The Spanish prodigy is in the interest of several clubs in the Premier League and Barcelona, according to Sport, would like to try to sell the attacker to the highest bidder. The club hopes to receive around 80 million euros for Fati.
With the likely return of Lionel Messi next season, Barcelona will have to cut back quite a bit. Although the club still sees a lot of future in Fati, the attacker himself would reportedly be tired of his role as a back-up and want to leave. Agent Jorge Mendes would therefore have already been instructed to find another club and that would also have been reported to Barcelona.
And with the targeted savings needed to bring Messi back, Barcelona would accept the talented Fati leaving in the summer if interested clubs are prepared to match their 80 million valuation. With his departure, Barcelona would suddenly save a large part of the estimated 300 million euros that the club will have to save in order to comply with the rules of the Spanish financial fair play next season.
