- Bellingham closing in on Madrid deal
- Talks already held in Germany
- Six-year contract awaits him in Spain
What is the news?
A deal between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund is coming closer each day. The Germans are fully focused on their final league game of the season for now, but once the Bundesliga season is wrapped up, both Bellingham and Dortmund are expected to push through the transfer of the England international.
Bellingham has been linked with a move to Madrid for months now and with the football season nearing it’s end, the talented midfielder will be able to consider his long-term future. According to Marca, representatives of Madrid have been in talks with both Bellingham and Dortmund for quite some time. While there is an agreement in principe, many of the details still need to be finalised.
Madrid are growing confident they will be getting their man this summer. The Spanish giants have been working on a deal for months and they are confident Bellingham is ready to commit his long-term future to Madrid. Dortmund, meanwhile, could accept an offer worth an initial 100 million euros, but with the addition of several add-ons and bonuses that could potentially increase the overall value up to 150 million euros.
If Madrid and Bellingham want to quickly finalise a transfer, an announcement will be expected in June. It is believed that Bellingham has received several – more lucrative – offers, but he has fully committed to join Real Madrid, with a potential six-year contract waiting for him at the Santiago Bernabeu.
