Chelsea have made Victor Osimhen their number one transfer target for this summer, The Guardian has revealed.
- Chelsea want Osimhen
- Napoli could ask 150 million
- Blues have two alternatives
What is the news?
Chelsea are set for another spending spree this summer after spending over 600 million euros on transfers this season. The club is looking to strengthen their attack and have now made Napoli striker Victor Osimhen their most important target. The Serie A top scorer has been linked with many European clubs, including Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Whilst Chelsea is set to make a massive offer for the Napoli striker, the newly crowned Italian champions are not the easiest to negotiate with. The club from Napels is known for their hard negotiation strategy and almost always sell their players for very high fees. For that reason Chelsea have made a shortlist with possible alternatives, which includes Internazionale striker Lautaro Martinez and Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
The summer transfer window will be opened again from July 1st and Chelsea would be keen to quickly reach an agreement with Napoli on Osimhen. If a transfer is considered to be impossible, the Blues will have enough time to negotiate with their alternatives. Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku is set to return from his loan spell at Inter and it hasn’t been ruled out the Belgian will be staying at Chelsea next season.
