Jadon Sancho has been linked with a shock move back to the German Bundesliga. The 23-year-old winger joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund two summers ago in one of the biggest transfer deals the Premier League has seen. After two mediocre seasons, a transfer away from Old Trafford can not be ruled out at this point.
Expectations were high when Sancho was signed from Dortmund in 2021 but the winger has not been able to maintain the high standards he set in the Bundesliga. Sancho has been struggling with injuries and has not been putting in good performances on a consistent level. And with the competition on the wings at United becoming bigger and bigger, the club could be open to sell Sancho if a bid comes in.
And that bid may well be coming from his old club Dortmund, claims Sebastian Kolsberger of Bild Sport: “According to Bild’s source, a return back [to Dortmund] is not out of the question. Indeed, talks with Sancho about a summer transfer have yet to be opened. Sporting director Sebastian Kehl, however, continues to always be in contact with his agents of the Project Elite Group.”
