The possible transfer of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton Hove & Albion to Liverpool could be finalised quicker than originally thought.

Liverpool are looking for at least three new midfielders for next season and the Reds are keen to beat the competition for Mac Allister. The 24-year-old midfielder has developed into one of the Premier League’s leading midfielders and that has attracted the interest of several clubs. Liverpool are not prepared to wait too long to sign Mac Allister and they have reportedly already opened talks with both Brighton and the midfielder.
Where Liverpool are trying to speed up the negotiations with Brighton and Mac Allister, the Seagulls aren’t in a hurry to sell the Argentinian. Brighton are aware of the increased interest in Mac Allister, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea and Newcastle all keeping tabs on the situation.
Liverpool are not having the best seasons in their history and the Reds are currently outside of the top four and are set to miss out on the Champions League next season. The Reds are keen on get back in the top three next season as they hope to fight Manchester City for the title again. To make it possible they are looking to sign at least three new midfielders, including Mac Allister and possibly Bayern Munich wonderkid Ryan Gravenberch.
