Liverpool might have decided to not pursue Jude Bellingham this summer, but the Reds are planning to completely overhaul their midfield this summer. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Liverpool are planning to sign three new midfielders this summer and that the first contact with clubs and players have already been in talks with Liverpool over a possible transfer.
Romano on Liverpool’s transfer plans: “Liverpool approached the agents of Ryan Gravenberch. They had a direct contact, they want to push, so Liverpool are still there for Gravenberch. They are not giving up and they consider him the perfect signing. Young, talented, prepared to play a lot of games. The player wants to have some guarantees, he wants to play and not be on the bench.”
Despite Gravenberch’s lack of game time, Bayern is’nt eager of selling the youngster after a single season. “Bayern, the board and the manager want Gravenberch to stay. Bayern at this stage have no intention to negotiate. Let’s see if Bayern can convince the player to stay as they consider him a really important player.”
Next to Gravenberch, Liverpool has two other midfielders they want to sign. “For Liverpool, the priorities remain Mason Mount and Alexis Mac Allister. They will have contacts with the camp of Mac Allister very soon, in the next two to three weeks. Liverpool want new midfielders.” Liverpool are eight in the Premier League, nine points off a Champions League place with eight games to go. They are also out of all cup competitions.
