What’s the news?
The Argentinian has been long-linked with a transfer to Liverpool and it appears that a transfer is coming closer. Reports from England have now claimed that Mac Allister has agreed personal terms with the Reds, giving them the green light to negotiate a deal with Brighton Hove & Albion.
Liverpool want to strengthen their midfield this summer and the club has marked Mac Allister as their main target. Manchester City and Manchester United were also interested in the midfielder, but it seems that both teams have decided to cool their interest for now.
Liverpool will now have to discuss terms with Brighton. The Seagulls are reluctant to sell one of their top players, but recently manager Roberto de Zerbi admitted it would be next to impossible to keep Mac Allister at the club next season. Brighton are looking to receive around 80 million euros.
With the Premier League season over, Liverpool would want to finish up a deal quickly, whilst the 24-year-oldMac Allister would want his future resolved before the start of next season’s preseason training.
