Manchester City have made en enquiry for Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney, Football Insider has reported. The current Premier League champions are looking to strengthen the position of left-back for next season and Tierney has emerged as one of their top targets. City are exploring the possibilities of signing the Scotland international this summer.

Tierney is reportedly open to leave the Gunners after losing his position on the team to Ukrainian international and former City player Oleksandr Zinchenko. When Tierney joined from Celtic he was quickly considered as one of Arsenal’s leading players for the future but after the arrival of Zinchenko, Tierney’s star has been fading away.

It will be interesting to see if Tierney would be open to a possible back-up role at Man City, seeing the defending Premier League champions’ first choice left-back is Nathan Ake. Newcastle United are also interested in signing Tierney and the prospect of first-team football at the Magpies could be more interesting for the defender.
