Neymar has returned to his club Paris Saint-Germain just under seven weeks after his ankle surgery. The Brazilian star will now continue his rehabilitation in Paris as he is ready to take the next step in his recovery. Neymar celebrated his return to PSGÂ by removing the protective boot he had been wearing since the operation on March 10 in Doha.
PSG posted a statement on their website on the return of Neymar: “After reassuring results of tests, the player can now continue his rehabilitation protocol in Paris.” The club has not made any statements on the possible return date of Neymar. The forward suffered his injury back in February and it may well be possible the he has already played his final game in the 2022-23 season.
The call to perform surgery on Neymar’s ankle was made by the medical staff at PSG. The Brazilian has suffered several injuries to his ankle in recent years and the club’s medical staff suggested that an operation to the ankle was was necessary. With six games to go in the Ligue 1 season, PSG are cruising toward the championship as they hold an eight point lead over Olympique Marseille.
