- Neymar wants to leave PSG
- Fans want Brazilian out of the club
- PSG ready to sell forward
What is the news?
Various reports from France, including Le Parisien, have claimed that Neymar has told his agent he wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. Over the past few weeks fans of the French giants have been protesting at matches and even at Neymar’s house as they want the Brazilian out of the club. It has been suggested that several clubs in the Premier League are ready to make their move on Neymar should he become available on the summer market.
Fans of PSG have targeted both Neymar and Lionel Messi in recent weeks as the fans feel the two super stars are not giving everything for the club. Both Neymar and Messi have been booed by fans during matches, but last month a group of fans turned up at the house of Neymar and demanded him to leave the club. Last week a small group of fans was also at the club’s headquarters and there they voiced their anger towards the forward duo, telling Neymar to “get lost” and calling Messi a “son of a b*tch”.
PSG open to sell
There have been many reports that PSG have been trying to offload Neymar and his huge wages for the past two seasons. The forward’s injury history and high wages have made a move not very easy, but it now seems that both PSG and Neymar are prepared to lower their demands in order to initiate a move. There have been rumours that Newcastle United is interested in Neymar, but manager Eddie Howe downplayed the rumours by stating his club wasn’t able to afford players of Neymar’s level at this moment.
At this point it is unclear if Neymar will be featuring for PSG again this season. The forward is still recovering from an ankle injury and has not played any football since the World Cup. The Ligue 1 season is nearing its end and PSG have three matches to play.
