What’s the news?
Several French media outlets expect PSG to soon part ways with Christophe Galtier. The French coach joined last season from OGC Nice with the aim of guiding Parisians towards winning the Champions League. However, the season ended in disappointment, with the league title being the only significant prize.
According to rumors, sporting director Luis Campos reportedly informed the Frenchman on Tuesday morning that he will be dismissed. The underwhelming performances of PSG are cited as the main reason for the dismissal, although it has also been mentioned in France that Galtier is involved in a racism case from his previous tenure at Nice. The PSG board is said to be furious about this and no longer wants Galtier as their coach.
Galtier succeeded the sacked Mauricio Pochettino last year and now finds himself being replaced by a new coach. There have been talks about the French coach’s dismissal for weeks, and the media has already linked several names to the vacancy at PSG. Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, and José Mourinho are currently the most frequently mentioned names in Paris.
