The midfielders contract will run out at the end of next season, meaning his club AS Monaco can’t demand a hefty transfer fee. It has been suggested that Monaco would be prepared to sell Fofana for a fee around 30 million euros.

Fofana joined Monaco in 2020 from Strasbourg and since joining he has helped the club achieve a top four finish every season. Last year he had a striking partnership with Aurelien Tchouameni, who later on joined Real Madrid for at least 80 million euros. Fofana is a defensive minded midfielder, who is known for his consistency and physique. With a contract that runs down next season, the nine time France international could be on his way to the Premier League this summer.
