Neymar decided not to travel with his club and teammates to Strasbourg for PSG’s title winning league match of the Ligue 1 season. The Parisians wrapped up the title after Lionel Messi scored in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw. Neymar instead decided to attend the Monaco Grand Prix and was pictured alongside the Red Bull Racing team and race winner Max Verstappen.
The backstory
PSG coach Christophe Gaultier downplayed the absence of Neymar and the French coach told reporters that the Brazilian did not travel with the rest of the team due to mobility issues. According to French outlet L ‘Equipe, PSG isn’t too happy with Neymar and it is believed that his absence is seen as an act of ‘provocation’ by the club. Lately rumours of an exit for Neymar this summer have intensified.

Neymar is reportedly looking for a way out of PSG as the Brazilian has received many criticism this season from the club’s fans. The forward has been linked with a long list of clubs, including several clubs from the Premier League. Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester have been put on top of that list. Meanwhile, there have also been rumours of FC Barcelona looking at the forward, but the Spaniards are favouring the return of Lionel Messi instead.
