TransfersPSG: Lionel Messi out, Harry Kane in?

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to say their goodbyes to Lionel Messi. The Argentinian is expected to leave the French club on a free transfer as he is looking to return to FC Barcelona. According to Le Parisien, PSG already have a replacement in mind: Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane. The 29-year-old has been tipped as PSG’s number one priority for the summer.

Kane will be entering the final year of his contract next season at Spurs and it is believed that this summer the England captain will finally decide to leave London. Whilst Manchester United has been put forward on several occasions, PSG have joined the Red Devils and have made their interest clear. Despite Kane’s expiring contract, Spurs are expected to demand at least €100 million for their star forward.

At this point it is not clear if Kane is interested in a move outside of the Premier League, with Bayern Munich also being linked with Kane. Should PSG fail to sign Kane this summer, the club would be focusing their interest on Randal Kolo Muani, Victor Osimhen and Marcus Thuram. Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku has also been put forward as a candidate to join PSG next season, but it seems very unlikely that the French club would prefer to sign the Belgian ahead of any of the other players on their shortlist.
