TransfersPSG alerted as Arsenal postpone contract talks with Arteta

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta. The Parisians look set to say goodbye to Christophe Galtier this summer after the Frenchman failed to guide the club to the final stages of the Champions League and disappointing results this season. In addition, the French manager is associated with a racism riot and the PSG board does not want to be involved.

Arteta is currently doing very well with Arsenal in the Premier League and would love to stay with the London Club beyond this season. However, the Arsenal board has postponed negotiations on a new contract until after the season, which would be against the sore leg of Arteta and his backroom staff. This could lead to unhapiness with Arteta, who could then decide to leave the club after this season as the offer from PSG might be too good to turn down.

The Spanish manager joined Arsenal in 2019 after working as the assistant of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City for three seasons. After a rough start Arteta has managed to create a team that is currently fighting for the title in the Premier League. With seven matches to go the Gunners hold a four point lead over Man City, who have a game in hand. Also, both teams will face each other at the Etihad on the 26th of April, which could be a decisive match for the title race.
