Real Madrid end interest in Kylian Mbappe

NewsReal Madrid end interest in Kylian Mbappe

Various reports from Spain have claimed that Real Madrid have decided to completely end their interest in Kylian Mbappe.

  • Madrid cool interest in Mbappe
  • Club feels Vinicius is on the same level
  • Madrid not prepared to pay 200 million

What is the news?

A link between Mbappe and Real Madrid has been present ever since the French forward entered the football stage at AS Monaco. With his contract running down in the summer of 2024, it was expected that Real would re-ignite their interest in Mbappe, but according to Marca, the Spanish giants have ended their interest in the forward completely.

The backstory

Main reason for Madrid’s change of heart has been the development of Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian also plays on the left wing and has been in an outstanding form over the past two seasons. Madrid now firmly believe that Vinicius can achieve the same level as Mbappe and are not prepared to dig deep into their pockets to sign Mbappe in the future.

And more?

Madrid have switched their interest in signing Jude Bellingham and the club is willing to spend big on the English midfielder from Borussia Dortmund. With an expected 120 million euro transfer fee, it seems very unlikely that Madrid would be able to also invest a large sum in Mbappe this summer or in the summer of 2024.
