Real ready to use AC Milan star to lower price on Bellingham

NewsReal ready to use AC Milan star to lower price on Bellingham

Real Madrid still intend to sign Jude Bellingham this summer, even if the Spaniards have to dig deep into their pockets for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder. The Germans would still ask more than 150 million euros for Bellingham and that would still be too much according to Madrid’s valuation and financial possibilities. According to Cadena Ser, Real has now devised a smart plan to lower the price.

Los Blancos want to involve Brahim Diaz in the deal with Dortmund. The Spanish midfielder came to Madrid from Manchester City with great expectations several years ago, but never managed to live up to his potential in the Spanish capital. The club then sent Diaz on loan to AC Milan and the attacking midfielder has come to fruition with the Italians.

The 23-year-old Diaz was of great value last year when Milan won the Serie A title and this year the midfielder has been an integral part of the first team and often proves to be one of the better midfielders in Europe. Still, Diaz’s performances are not enough to convince Real to return him to Spain next season. The club would therefore like to try and involve him in the deal with Dortmund.

Diaz currently represents a transfer value of around 20 to 30 million euros and Madrid would like to use that amount to push Bellingham’s price to around 100 million euros. The question is whether Dortmund is willing to think along with Real, as it realizes that Bellingham has also aroused the interest of Manchester City, among others. That club might be willing to pay the asking price of around 150 million euros.
