Sadio Mane has reportedly punched teammate Leroy Sane on Tuesday after the match between Manchester City and Bayern Munich. German outlet BILD reports that the two forwards had to be seperated by other teammates in the dressing room after their 3-0 defeat. After the confrontation it was seen that Sané’s mouth was bleeding, possible a result of a punch from Mane. Bayern has not yet commented on the incident.
During the game, which was hopelessly lost by Bayern (3-0) the two players already had a confrontation. After the game the situation escalated in the dressing room, after which Mané punched Sané. Reports have claimed that Mané wasn’t too happy with the way Sané spoke to him during the match and after the game he went to confront Sané with his actions. After that a punched was reportedly thrown.
The news of the dressing room bust-up is the next unfortunate event for Bayern in the past couple of weeks. First the club felt the need to sack manager Julian Nagelsmann, despite his convincing victories over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Since then Bayern appointed Thomas Tuchel as his replacement, but the German coach failed to lead his new club into the next round of the DFB-Pokal and now looks to be eliminated from the Champions League.
